QUEST

WELCOME to Langston Chapel Middle School QUEST!

The 2019-2020 school year at LCMS is going to be an exciting one.  Students have so many opportunities to express their individual talents.  The Middle School QUEST program serves Bulloch County Schools' gifted and talented students in grades 6-8.

Students use creative thinking and problem solving skills to find solutions to unique situations presented daily in class.  Critical thinking skills are tested using a variety of simulations, thinking activities, and role playing.  All students are encouraged to participate in the activities and showcase their individual talents and creativity.

Each grade level has a required unit of study.  Sixth grade studies the Georgia Barrier Islands while seventh grade explores Washington, D.C. and various aspects of American History.  Eighth grade students do an extensive study of New York City.  They study global economy, the immigration process of Ellis Island, Wall Street and the stock market, and historical and architectural aspects of the city as compared to other metropolitan cities around the world.

Middle School is an exciting time for students.  They are excited and eager to explore different subjects, make new friends, join clubs, and participate in sports or other activities.  At LCMS, we strive to meet the needs of each child we teach and motivate them to succeed in all aspects of their lives.  QUEST provides students with an opportunity to explore many different areas of interest and expand their academic skills.

Please stop by our classroom and visit us. Again, it is going to be a very exciting year!
